As a European, I disagree. The world can do what it wants - I’m happy to be “behind” if that means I have some protection from late-stage capitalism and its many issues. I think applying such rules (or a variant) would help people, and that knocking down the Europeans with some form of “they make rules to stop innovation because they’re jealous about our greatness” isn’t productive.
