Disney Launches Space Tourism Company for Affordable Adventures in the Final Frontier
Disney, the world-renowned entertainment giant, has announced the launch of a new space tourism company that aims to make space travel accessible to everyone. The company, named Star Tours, will offer trips to low Earth orbit, where passengers will be able to experience weightlessness and see the Earth from space.
“We are thrilled to be entering the space tourism industry and making the dream of space travel a reality for so many people,” said Bob Chapek, CEO of Disney. “Our goal is to make space travel safe, affordable, and accessible to all. Star Tours will be at the forefront of this exciting new industry, offering experiences that only a company like Disney can provide.”
The company plans to use reusable spacecraft, developed in partnership with leading aerospace companies, to minimize the cost of each trip and make it more affordable for the general public. The spacecraft will be able to carry up to six passengers at a time and will be piloted by trained astronauts.
